6 Days Kilimanjaro Cycling via Kilema Route 2026 to 2027 Overview
This six day program combines mountain biking on the Kilema access route with a summit hike to Uhuru Peak. Riders move from the forest zone to Horombo, use Zebra Rocks for acclimatization, continue across the saddle toward Kibo and leave the bikes at the high camp before the summit attempt.
After the summit, the itinerary returns to Kibo and then uses the bikes for the downhill section to Horombo. The final day continues by bike through moorland and rainforest to Kilema Gate before the transfer to Moshi.

Day by Day Itinerary
Day 01Moshi to Marangu Gate to Kilema Camp⌄
Drive to Marangu Gate for registration, transfer to Kilema Gate and begin cycling through rainforest on jeep tracks. The source lists about 9 km from 1,950 m to 2,700 m.
